Ahead of the Festival in September, we are delighted to bring aspiring and experienced writers a series of workshops by facilitators that offer something very special. Space is limited, so be sure to book early.
The Life Writing Collective has been running powerful workshops for a number of years and those who have attended any of them can attest to their ability to transform how one understands one’s own story. Dawn Garisch will facilitate two full day workshops on the 26th and 27th of July. Please note that these two workshops are not connected. If you would like to attend both, you will need to complete to bookings.
Hedley Twidle’s Creative Non-fiction Workshop was very well received in March 2022, and many who wanted to attend were unable to do so. Be sure to book as early as possible to ensure a space.
We wrap up the week with two events featuring Maneo Mohale, author of the collection Everything is a Deathly Flower. ‘The Ecstatic Ekphrastic‘ centres pop-culture and is inspired by or responds to other forms of art. This workshop is followed later in the day, by a conversation between Maneo and Nondwe Mpuma (author of the collection Peach Country). This is a free event but please RSVP.
