Open Book Festival at the HCC: Homecoming Centre is around the corner.

In 2022, we made the decision to focus on South African based writers. While the vast majority of those joining us this year are based in the country, we are privileged to also include a number of African writers.
Equally exciting are the locally based writers. We have the pleasure of welcoming back some of those we have worked with many times, as well as debut authors whose work has been wonderful to explore.
Be sure to check out all the people who are joining us here. There are still a few names coming, so be sure to visit the page more than once.
The books written by those joining us are all available at the Book Lounge (unless they have not yet been published). Visit them to get copies of the titles and start your reading journey.
We’re in the final stages of confirming the events happening from 8 – 10 September, so watch this space! The programme should be available on the 10th of August, and bookings through Webtickets will open at the same time.
