Tarryn Crossman

Tarryn Crossman is a documentary filmmaker and investigative journalist from South Africa. Her work lives in that uncomfortable space between truth and accountability, where real lives are at stake. She has produced independent documentary films that have screened around the world, as well as impact driven investigations for Carte Blanche, Al Jazeera and MTV Staying Alive, and through her production company TIA Productions she has worked with organisations like Meta, UNICEF, USAID and Save the Children to tell stories that don’t just inform, but force change. Her investigation into Yolande Maritz-Fouchee was recognised at the 2020 Taco Kuiper Awards. This is her first book, and is dedicated to all the mothers that she worked with over this six year investigation.
