Nokukhanya (Khanya) Mncwabe is a policy analyst and human rights consultant who currently serves as the Centre Coordinator of PEN South Africa, an organisation that celebrates literature and works to advance and safeguard the right to freedom of expression.
She has previously worked with among others, Initiative for Social and Economic Rights (Uganda), the Heinrich Boell Foundation (South Africa), Business and Human Rights Resource Centre, and the Centre for the Study of Violence and Reconciliation (CSVR), to ensure that human rights in Africa are respected, protected and promoted. She has a BSocSci (Politics, Philosophy) from the University of Cape Town and will shortly conclude her legal studies at the University of South Africa. She has several publications which address various aspects of human rights, social development, peace and security broadly and transitional justice in particular.
