Michelle le Roux holds degrees from UCT (BA LLB) and New York University (LLM), and practices in the areas of general commercial and regulatory law, competition law, class action litigation and public/administrative law, including before commissions of inquiry. She is an Adjunct Professor at the Law School of the University of Cape Town where she lectures in competition law. She was Chair of the Expert Advisory Panel on the recent amendments to the Competition Act, a member of the Expert Panel on Institutional Requirements, as well as of the Competition Stakeholders’ User Forum. She has been recognised in Who’s Who: Legal and 40 in their 40s: Notable Women Competition Professionals in Europe, the Americas and Africa, and won GCR’s Litigation of the Year: Non-cartel.
She is the co-author of Lawfare: Judging Politics in South Africa.
