Designer by day and illustrator every other moment of her life, Gwendolene Van der Merwe is based in Strand and studied her honours in illustration at Stellenbosch University. She embraces her introverted nature as a creative tool, using original illustrations that are born deep in her own headspace as a cathartic tool. She loves storytelling and connecting with people through them and through her illustrations.
