Daniella Djan qualified at Rhodes University with a degree in Journalism and Media Studies (majoring in Writing and Editing), Psychology and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education.
Her first book, Crazy Became Me, has been described as “riveting and raw”, and is a memoir about her journey of living yet thriving with the severe autoimmune disease called lupus. It has been featured on several media platforms in South Africa and Ghana including Sunday Times, Morning Live (SABC 2), Health24, Cape Talk, Ghanaweb, Daily Guide Network, 702 Radio, ChaiFM, JOY Magazine and Northern News.
She is also the author of three children’s books: Watch Out, Haughty Hudson!, The Grumpy Gnu & Wandile, the Warrior on Woes (the first storybook in Africa empowering children living with lupus). She presents her children’s books in her alter ego and dynamic YouTube storytelling character, Madam Deleena.
