Abhishek Choudhury is an artist and designer based in Bangalore, India. He is a recent graduate from the Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology, with a love for storytelling and illustration. In the past he has worked with Raj comics and members of the PAO collective. Abhishek borrows his inspiration from classic Indian aesthetics, mythology and pop culture. He also brings in his passion for Theatre of The Oppressed and shadow puppetry. Abhishek is currently working with the Law+Environment+Design Lab on The Heroes Project, where he is creating a graphic novel featuring stories based on mythology from the Khoi-San community in Cape Town, South Africa. This project hopes to revive interest in their history and culture and create a sense of identity within the community by showcasing the ‘heroes’ within them in an accessible way.
