Caitlin Mkhasibe is a multi-media artist who works with glass, paper, home-made recycled paper, up-cycled or
ethical clothing. She also does vegan handpoke tattooing and she is a drummer/percussionist/
discordant tone-maker as part of the audio-visual ensemble, Morning Pages. Her illustrations are influenced by the improvised sound of the ensemble in that they can be unplanned and meditative in their process. She explores how mediums interact with each other with relevance to various themes. Her work honours an alignment to nature (which she considers to be truth), questions accepted ideas of progress and has a respect for animals as she believes they
know more than we ever could.
