OPEN BOOK 2018 LINEUP

OPEN BOOK FESTIVAL
5 – 9 September 2018

at The Book Lounge and the Fugard Theatre
FORGET 9 TO 5 & START PLANNING FOR YOUR 5 – 9!

June is an exciting month for us at Open Book – we get to share the first group of writers joining us for the festival. Their work is extraordinary and we highly recommend getting your hands on their books as soon as possible!

You may have noticed that we haven’t included any international poets above – we have some amazing people joining us for #cocreatePoetica 2018 and will be in touch soon!

On the local side, we are delighted to welcome back some of our favourite writers, as well as to have a number of writers who will be joining us for the first time. We are also very excited about the debut writers joining us this year.

Pumla Gqola, Mohale Mashigo (Intruders), Niq Mhlongo, Judith February (Turning and Turning) and Rebecca Davis (A Cynics Pursuit of Happiness)

Tumelo Buthelezi (The Last Sentence), Clinton Chauke, Jeremy Vearey and Craig Higginson (The White Room)

This is just the start – Open Book Festival 2018 is something you aren’t going to want to miss!
Put in for leave from the 5 – 9 September and get reading.

If you would like any additional information about the festival, please get in touch with Frankie.
