We are thrilled to announce the Youth Fest 2026 lineup of events, filled with wonderful authors, creatives and activities!
These events are the perfect way to incorporate the world of literature into the lives of our next generation.
With numerous events open to the public, our programme caters to all ages. These include exciting storytime options for young readers, as well as our annual Open Mic, hosted once again by Zizipho Bam with headliners Amy “Brown” Hendrickse and Yanga Gceya.
All events are free however booking is essential. Browse through our programme and book using the ‘RSVP’ button on your chosen events.

Our participants are ready to bring the love of stories to the youth.
This year’s programme introduces exciting new faces including; Upile uThixo Bongco, Monique Fallows, Zingisa Mase, Rushdiyah Narker, and Martinus van Tee among others. Joining them is our family of outstanding returning creatives; Zizipho Bam, ClimateLounge (Sarah Robyn Farrell and Dela Gwala), Kirsten Deane, Bianca Flanders, Siphokazi Jonas, and Carol Titus.

Venues include schools, public libraries and community spaces. A portion of the programme caters specifically to surrounding schools and thus won’t be open to the public.
