This workshop, facilitated by award-winning author Dawn Garisch, examines the stories that shape our lives.
What stories were you born into – cultural, genetic, epigenetic, gender, political, financial, religious, environmental, class? Were the attitudes that surrounded your upbringing helpful or harmful? Our unexamined ancestral past profoundly influences our present choices. The narrative we learned as children may stop us and our communities from taking care of ourselves and the earth, and from reaching our full potential. Learn to write your way into changing any thought habits and behavioural habits that are harmful, and to strengthen what is helpful, so that we pass the best of what it is to be human down to the next generation.
