We are thrilled to unveil the complete programme for our upcoming Workshop Week, taking place from 2-7 June 2025. After months of careful planning and collaboration with renowned writers, publishers, and creative practitioners, we’ve curated an exceptional lineup of workshops designed to inspire, educate, and connect our community. You can view the full programme here. We also have two off programme events that we are very excited about. We are once again partnering with Ikamva Youth and Youth Capital for a three part youth-focused session, emphasising the festival’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of writers. Secondly, we are running a Writers Retreat in collaboration with Bertha Retreat, with optional sessions facilitated by Toni Giselle Stuart. Several writers will be part of this retreat which we hope will be the first of many. Tickets for all workshops are available through Webtickets. All events are linked directly on our website, and you can click on any of the images above to go to the relevant page. You can also view the full programme and read about each facilitator there. Please note that space is limited for most workshops, so early booking is recommended to avoid disappointment. If you would like to attend any of the workshops, but experience price as a barrier to entry, please contact us to request complementary tickets. Most of the events are happening at Bertha House, 69 Main Road, Mowbray. This extraordinary space in Mowbray serves as a globally connected neighbourhood resource for activists, storytellers, educators, and artists committed to creating more just societies. |

We’d also like to extend a heartful thanks to all our sponsors and partners: the Heinrich Boll Foundation, the City of Cape Town, Jonathan Ball Publishers, NB Publishers, Pan Macmillan, Karavan Press, the Life Righting Collective, Bertha Spaces and Bertha Retreat, Ikamva Youth and Youth Capital.
