We’re excited to announce the launch of a brand new initiative – Open Book Online! This series will bring you regular doses of literary conversation and content in the lead-up to our main Open Book Festival in September.
The idea is to provide tastes of what makes the full festival so special – engaging and insightful discussions, and immersive literary experiences. We know many of you can’t wait until September to get your literary fix, so this is our way of keeping you connected and engaged throughout the year.
We’re kicking things off with a recording of the launch of the latest edition of CITYSCAPES magazine. This conversation took place at the Book Lounge on 31 October and featured Festival Director, Mervyn Sloman, speaking to editors Tau Tavengwa and Edgar Pieterse.
This magazine is one of the Book Lounge Book of the Year’s candidates, and it’s easy to see why. In addition to the powerful content, the format is groundbreaking.
