Zingisa Mase is the author of a children’s book titled We are Our Names. She is a Legal Administrative Assistant at Kavuro & Associates, a Parliamentary Research & Report Writer for the Parliamentary Monitoring Group, essayist and culture writer for the Mail & Guardian. She oversees administrative and office management tasks at Kavuro & Associates, a Law Firm dealing with immigration, refugee and human rights matters in Cape Town, advocating for their rights to be protected and promoted. She also monitors Portfolio Committees for the Parliament of the Republic of South Africa to ensure consistent reporting and recording of the work done by committees in Parliament. She reads Parliamentary Bills for fun before they are passed into legislation. She is passionate about early childhood development, child advocacy, the promotion of people’s rights and seeing societies do the work of holding their governments accountable in the platforms provided as well as making those platforms more accessible to ordinary citizens. Hopefully she will write her second children’s book soon!
