Victoria Collis-Buthelezi is a Lecturer in the Department of English at the University of Cape Town. She specialises in African and African Diasporic Literature with particular interest in Anglophone, Hispanophone and Francophone literatures of the Caribbean, African American and African literature and black radical intellectual histories. She received her PhD in the Department of English and the Institute of Comparative Literature and Society at Columbia University. She, together with Derrick Higginbotham, is the author of Contested Intimacies.
