Shubnum Khan

Shubnum Khan’s first novel, Onion Tears, about Indian South African Muslim women, was shortlisted for the Penguin Prize for African Writing. She was selected as the Mail & Guardian 200 young South Africans. She has published fiction in New Contrast, Saraba Magazine, Flash the Short Story Magazine and McSweeney’s Quarterly Concern. Most recently she is a Jack Jones Literary Arts Fellow and a Mellon Fellow at Stellenbosch University.
