Samantha Van Riet is an illustrator by trade. She graduated from the University of Stellenbosch in 1993 with a degree in Graphic Art. As a freelance illustrator she has been involved in illustration of children’s picture books, educational books and adult cookery and natural history titles for the past 19 years. Her clients include MML, Oxford, Juta, McMillan and Lapa Publishers. She is the author of Roots, Shoots and Muddy Boots, as well as a picture book, The Great Adventure, which will be published in 2020.
