Rebecca Gore is a lawyer, writer, and researcher. She studied at Harvard Law School, where she was a Henigson Human Rights Fellow, and the University of Cape Town, where she is a research associate. Her focus areas are human rights, prisons, women’s rights, and international law. Rebecca has worked for various international and local institutions dedicated to public interest work. She clerked at the Constitutional Court and was a legal researcher to Justice Edwin Cameron, Inspecting Judge of Prisons. Rebecca has written about the intersections of criminal justice and gender justice, and most recently, she co-authored a book with Edwin Cameron and Sohela Surajpal, Behind Prison Walls.
