Quentin Williams is Professor of Linguistics in the Linguistics Department at the University of the Western Cape (UWC), Fellow at the Stellenbosch Institute for Advanced Studies (STIAS), and Director of the Centre for Multilingualism and Diversities Research (CMDR) (currently on sabbatical in 2026). He is the founder and chairperson of the Societie virrie Advancement van Kaaps (SAK), and an editorial board member of the journal Aweh: djînil virrie minoritized tali. His latest publication is the co-edited Kaaps Dictionary (published in 2026).
