Peter Harris is the author of two books. In a Different Time won both the Sunday Times Alan Paton Award (2009) and the 2009 Bookseller’s Choice Award. Birth: The Conspiracy to Stop the ’94 Election; published late in 2010 is an account of the various threats to South Africa’s first democratic election as experienced by Peter, who was the headof the Monitoring Division of the Independent Electoral Commission during the ’94 election. Peter has practised law and is currently the Executive Chairman of the Resolve Group Management Consultancy.
