Moira Louw is a paramedic and a single parent: mother of two and grandmother of three. She worked for Bonwit clothing company for 21 years, while volunteering for the Emergency Medical Services (EMS). Between 2004 and 2009 she completed her Basic Ambulance Assistant and Ambulance Emergency Assistant qualifications at the Emergency Medical Servicesc college. In 2012, she completed her Critical Care Assistant class, qualifying as a paramedic. She is stationed at EMS Southern Division in Mitchell’s Plain. In addition to her work on the road, she also trains the BMC students at Cape Peninsula University of Technology.
