Mfundi the Poet (Asiphe Nicholas Feni) is a Cape Town-based poet and performer. He has published widely and won several competitions, including the Innovative Poetry Slam held at Artscape Theatre, and the First National Writing Centre Creative Writing Competition, where he placed first in the poetry category. He is one of the champions of Slam City’s monthly competition, a semi-finalist at the Poetry Africa 2024 national competition, and was named one of the top 5 poets in the Nelson Mandela Centenary First Year of Schooling Slam Poetry Competition by Poetry Africa.
