Melusi Tshabalala is a seasoned, creative professional-turned mother-tongue activist, author, educator, speaker and entrepreneur. Having first entered the world of advertising in 1998, as a junior copywriter, he has gone on to build himself a strong reputation in advertising and beyond. His Melusi’s Everyday Zulu initiative, born out of his frustration with how the South African advertising industry treats indigenous, African languages, has become a cultural phenomenon in SA and outside the country’s borders, spawning a new career as an author, sought-after speaker, radio and print media contributor. Melusi continues to work in advertising. His most recent book is, Magenge, We Need to Talk.
