Madeleine Fullard is the Head of the Missing Persons Task Team (MPTT) in the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), mandated to trace the fate and whereabouts of those who disappeared in political circumstances between 1960 and 1994, and to recover their remains where possible. Madeleine previously served as a researcher in the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) and was part of the team that wrote the TRC’s final report. She trained as an historian. She is a contributor to Our Ghosts were Once People.
