Lynthia Julius was born in Springbok and raised in Kimberley. She holds a honours degree in philosophy from the University of the Free State. In 2018 she was named the winner in the Afrikaans category of the AVBOB poetry competition. Her debut collection of poetry is Uit Die Kroes, published by NB Publishers in 2020.
