Lynthia Julius was born in Springbok and raised in Kimberley. She holds a honours degree in philosophy and a master’s degree in creative writing from the University of the Free State. She received a South African Literary Award for her debut poetry collection, Uit die kroes. In 2023 she received the prestigious Jan Rabie Marjorie Wallace bursary.
