Litha Thembelani Xabadiya

Litha Thembelani Xabadiya was born 15 August 1984 in Cape Town. While growing up at kwa Langa (Cape Flats) he found his passion as a vocalist in both school and church choirs. He studied a Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of the Western Cape. Whilst at the university, he joined the UWC Creative Arts and travelled as part of an Ensemble that touredGermany (2009) in a cultural exchange programme hosted by Braunchweig TU. He was introduced to theatre and theatrical concepts in his final year, under the tutelage of Professor Miki Flockemann. In 2017 he played the lead in Lwanda Sindaphi’s musical Songs of this Soil at Artscape and at The Market Theatre (2018), and also featured as a supporting actor and vocalist in Artscape Xhosa Setwork Buzani Ku Bawo adapted by Thoko Ntshinga (2018).
