Kyoko Morgan who was born in Tokyo, Japan and is the founding director of Origami For Africa, an organisation founded in 2009 for promoting and teaching origami in Africa.
Origami is the ancient art of paper folding that is beneficial for physical and cognitive development and in many other ways. Kyoko is based in Clovelly and has been teaching origami regularly in Wesbank and Khayelitsha, as well as linking with other like-minded origami teachers in other places.
Kyoko believes that by bringing different corners of society together with the children at the centre of our heart, we can bring forth the youthful energy and hope, as we help their infinite potential to unfold.
