Kopano Maroga (they/them) is a South African performance artist, writer, educator and cultural worker. Their debut poetry collection, Jesus Thesis and Other Critical Fabulations, was released through uHlanga Press in 2020, shortlisted for the National Institute for the Humanities and Social Sciences award for Best Fiction (Poetry) and later translated into German through akono Verlag in 2023. They were a co-founding director of the publication and performance platform ANY BODY ZINE (dissolved in 2021) and a curator and dramaturg at Kunstencentrum VIERNULVIER in Ghent, Belgium from 2019 until 2023.
