Cornelius (Kerneels) Tobias Breytenbach hou ‘n Meestersgraad in Afrikaans en Hollands van die Universiteit van Stellenbosch. Hy het as joernalis by verskeie dagblaaie gewerk, onder andere Beeld, en later as Kunste Redakteur by Die Burger. Daarna was hy vir lank ‘n uitgewer by Human & Rousseau. Kerneels maak sy fiksie debuut in 1992 met die publikasie van sy kortverhaalbundel Morsdood van die Honger. Dit word opgevolg in 1993 met sy eerste roman Glimlag. In 2005 publiseer hy ‘n kookboek getiteld: Die Lekkerste Lekker. Sy volgende roman Die Ding Tussen Man en Vrou verskyn in 2009. Sy nuutste roman Piekniek by Hangklip is in 2011 gepubliseer.
Kerneels Breytenbach completed his Masters Degree in Afrikaans and Dutch at the University of Stellenbosch. He worked as a journalist at, among others, the daily newspaper Beeld, and later as the Arts Editor for Die Burger. After that, he was a publisher at Human & Rousseau for quite some time. Hemade his writing debut in 1992 with Morsdood van die honger, a collection of short stories. This was followed in 1993 with the novel Glimlag. He published a cook book, Die lekkerste lekker, in 2005. This was followed by Die ding tussen man en vrou in 2009. He most recently published Piekniek by Hangklip (2011).
