Jameelah Omar has published a number of articles on issues in criminal procedure, protest law and sexual offences. She has an LLB and LLM (criminal justice) from the University of Cape Town (UCT) and is currently working towards completion of her PhD. Jameelah teaches criminal law and criminal procedure at UCT and believes in the importance of public education of the law as one way of changing society for the better.
