Irvin Kinnes H.D.E.(UWC), M.Sc. in Criminology (LSE), PhD in Criminology (UCT), former Policing Programme Manager and Board member of the Centre for Conflict Resolution. Irvin is a former Chief Director for Policy and Research at the Civilian Secretariat of Police, Content Adviser to the Portfolio Committee on Police and is an Associate Professor at the Centre of Criminology UCT where he teaches courses in policing and crime. His research interest is in policing, armed organised violence, gangs and community governance.
