Haji Mohamed Dawjee

Haji Mohamed Dawjee completed a postgraduate degree in journalism at Stellenbosch University and established herself as a digital media specialist. She became Africa’s first social media editor in a newsroom at the Mail & Guardian, where she went on to work as deputy digital editor and a disruptor of the the peace through a weekly column. In 2017, she was selected as a fellow for the Deutsche Welle Institute. She writes weekly and bi-monthly columns for EWN, Women 24 and the Sunday Times and contributes freelance journalism to a range of other publications. Her writing is included inĀ Writing What We Like, Feminism Is and They Called me Queer. Sorry, Not Sorry is her first book.
