Deji Bryce Olukotun is the inaugural Freedom to Write Fellow at the PEN American Center, where he manages PEN’s advocacy before the United Nations and its online freedom work. A human rights lawyer by training, he is also a published fiction writer and lover of literature. Deji has worked on social justice issues in the U.S., South Africa, Brazil, and Haiti and speaks French and Portuguese. He holds degrees from Stanford Law School, Yale, and the University of Cape Town. His novella The Perlemoen of Obz will be published in 2012 by Molossus Books.
