    Carbon (Wandile Dlamini)

    carbon

Carbon (Wandile Dlamini) is a fallist and radical intersectional feminist, informed by their identities as a black, queer, mentally ill, non-binary transgender person. As a multi-disciplinarian artist, Carbon’s avenues of expression include digital and traditional art, writing, poetry and photography. Currently a student of the University of Cape Town, the native Jo’burger has found home and family in Cape Town, allowing their artistry to be informed by their intersections as a young, supposedly “born free” black person navigating post-Apartheid Apartheid South Africa. Carbon’s poetry was shortlisted and published in the Sol Plaatje European Award & Anthology in 2017.
