Aphiwe Nyezi is a passionate actor, musician and dancer who lives in Delft, Cape Town. He is trained at Rainbow Arts Organisation where he still performs to date. In 2013/14 he was part of the Magnet Theatre Gang Intervention programme, training young performers in theatre and movement. His early performances were at the Artscape and University of Stellenbosch high school drama festivals respectively. Aphiwe has worked in theatre, film and television. He has performed in productions such as Autumn, Sins of Others, Gomora, Behind My Shadow and Battling with myself, all of whom were produced by Rainbow Arts Organisation. He is a freelance artist and one of Lingua Franca’s resident musicians.
