Ameera Conrad is a performer, writer, and director. She has written two plays: The Fall is currently in its third print, and Reparation was released in early 2018. The Fall toured to the Edinburgh International Fringe Festival (2017) where it received a Scotsman Fringe First Award for Writing, The Stage’s Ensemble Award for Acting, and was Shortlisted for the Amnesty International Freedom of Speech Award. The Fall has performed to sold-out audiences across the world, including the Royal Court Theatre in London (2017), St Ann’s Warehouse in New York City (2018), the State Theatre in Pretoria (2018), and the Galway International Arts Festival in Ireland (2018). It is scheduled to tour to Melbourne, Bordeaux, and Washington DC this year. Ameera has a Cum Laude Honours degree in Theatre Making from the University of Cape Town and is an alumnus of the 2017 Lincoln Center Theater Directors’ Lab in New York.
