DON’T MISS TOMORROW’S CAPE TIMES FOR THE OPEN BOOK PRINTED PROGRAMME!

If you haven’t had a chance to look through the programme yet, be sure to get a copy of the Cape Times tomorrow. The five days of the festival are full to bursting with events featuring the great line up of international and local authors.

Kicking off with a Book Club Morning at the Book Lounge (featuring Alan Hollinghurst, Lola Shoneyin and Patrick Flanery!), events audiences have to look forward to include…

The Future of Print Media – Does it have one? Judith February will be discussing this with John Crace, Eliane Glaser, Kathryn Schulz and Alide Dasnois. (Friday 21 September from 14.00 – 15.00)

The Lives of Writers featuring Man Booker winners, Alan Hollinghurst and Kiran Desai and Orange Prize winner, Lionel Shriver. (Sunday 23 September from 16.00 – 17.00)

The Future of the Book will see Nick Barley of the Edinburgh International Book Festival talking to James Gleick, Stephen Johnson, Arthur Attwell and Shathley Q. (Monday 24 September from 14.00 – 15.00)

And last, but certainly not least, the festival closes with John Crace and Mervyn Sloman digesting Open Book (Monday 24 September from 16.00 – 17.00).
