Sue (Sukoluhle) Nyathi was born and raised in Bulawayo and was privileged to attend one of the city’s best private schools. During the 80’s these schools were predominantly “white” and it was there she was called ‘Sue’ by her 3rd grade teacher who was unable to pronounce her name. This is the name she is known by and under which she writes. She has a career in finance and freelances for the ‘Steaming Off’ column in Harare’s Sunday Mail. She has previously published The Polygamist and her second novel, The Gold Diggers has recently been published by Pan Macmillan.
