Daniel Clarke

Daniel Clarke is a director, conceptual artist, illustrator and production designer who has built a reputation in South Africa over the past 8 years as a leader in his field. Completely self-taught, at the age of 23, Daniel was made production designer at Triggerfish Animation Studios on their second feature film, Khumba (2013). Since then he has worked as an illustrator and art director for international feature films including Chronicle (Josh Trank, 2012); The Giver (Philip Noyce, 2014); and Chappie (Neil Blomkamp, 2015). Most recently Daniel was the art director of the BBC animated Christmas Special Stick Man. He has also illustrated children’s books and trading cards for properties such as Games Workshop’s Warhammer 40K series. He is a member of the Blue Forest Collective, the team behind Kariba.
