Chris van Wyk is an award winning author based in Johannesburg. He has published poetry, novels, non-fiction and children’s books. His memoir of his childhood, Shirley, Goodness and Mercy (2004) was followed up last year with Eggs to Lay, Chickens to Hatch. In 2009 he published an abridged version of Long Walk to Freedom aimed at young children.
